Unboxing My Glambox; July Edition

*THIS CONTAINS A SPOILER*

If you had read my last post then you'd already know that the theme for this months Glam Box was to do with summer so behold 'The Bronze Glam Box' *love heart eyes*. If you don't already know, this is a make up subscription box with all products chosen specifically by MUA's around the UK, you can purchase this box for a total of £18.99 (that's postage included) and from the website here. Now, lets get down to the exciting bit....

Contents:

  • Iconic Lashes Manchester 3D Lash - Every box features a pair of lashes which is something that I love about glambox as you can never own too many pair of falsies. These are more dramatic than the previous styles I've received but nether less they will still be worn! Despite being thick and dramatic, the lashes are actually really light and they feather out so they're longer at the end. Apparently, this brand is known for their cruelty free silk range which never fails to provide quality, affordable yet beautiful products. These would normally sell for £8.

  • Glam By Shauna Gold Liquid Highlighter - Who doesn't love a highlighter in their subscription box? I was quite skeptical at first because bronze-y type products are always predominantly too dark for my skin colour as I am one pale bishhhh however this seems to be okay for me. I would say it's more of a champagne gold so I'm not sure if it would be the same colour in everyones box but mine is perfect. You can add a few drops into your foundation to create a perfect natural glow or what I tend to do is apply on top of my foundation for an extra pop. This is a full size product and usually retails for £15.
  • Peggy Sage Code Cosmetics Lipliner - This is a brown lipliner, which is fab because I was in Superdrug/boots the other day on the hunt for a new brown liner - the girls over at glambox obviously heard my prayers. I would say it's quite a warm, chestnut brown shade and I know a few of my lipsticks that would go great with this. This usually retails for £6.
  • The BeBeautiful Studio Pigment in 'Toast' - I LOVE it when they add glitter pigments into the box. I think I buzz more over that then I do the lashes. I've already got two of these pots but different shades from the rose gold month and I love them and the fact it's a stunning brown shade is even better - this really reminds me of the Helen E Glitter Pigment in Sticky Toffee which I've been meaning to get, so perhaps this is a dupe?

  • Bod Mermaid Shimmer Spray - I've never heard of this brand before which is good as I love to try new things! This spray is made of biodegradable gold glitter that leaves a beautiful shimmer glow to your body but I love the fact it has a tropical coconut scent to it so you're going to smell fab when you wear this. Glitter sprays are really popular at the moment with it being summer and everyone wanting that holiday glow so this would be a great one to check out as it only retails for £5 usually!
  • Bod Glittery Body Scrub - I was really intrigued after receiving this as I've not had anything like this before! It's an exfoliating formula with a iridescent gold glitter finish to it. It contains brown sugar to get rid of the dry skin and honey to hydrate and moisturise for a silky complexion. It smells good enough to eat! This also usually retails for £5.
Overall
Another box full of amazing products, I don't think I've received a bad box yet. Like I said previously, I was slightly dubious about receiving this one as usually when things contain a lot of bronzed shade products then it tends to be too dark for my skin but every product in this is something that I would use. My fave product has to be the be beautiful pigment as I'm in love with that shade and I've been after a pigment of that colour for a while to go on top of a brown smokey eye. This box is worth £44 which is more than double that I had paid so that's saitsfactory! The next theme is Summer Party which is exciting and I look forward to it already.

Thank you for reading and let me know if you've subscribed to this box yet?!

  2. Really lovely post - I hadn't yet heard of this subscription box but it looks wonderful! I'm obsessed with anything glittery so both of the BOD products are definitely calling out to me! I'm also loving the look of the liquid highlighter from Glam by Shauna - the colour is just right for my skintone! x
