Mini Fenty Duo; Review + Swatches

Is it just me or is mini make up the cutest thing ever? I just love them so when I saw that they sold this Fenty Duo in Sephora at the time that my friend was near one, I asked her to grab me it. Little did I know that they now sell this in Harvey Nichols (here) and it's the Fenty Beauty Bomb Baby Mini Lip and Face Set. I haven't actually bought much from this brand yet other than the primer (which is my fave) so I thought this was a great way to try out some of the other products without breaking the bank as this duo comes under £20!

First of all, if you know me then you know I'm a gloss kind of girl and it's a product I will always keep in my bag. I love glossy lips especially when mine can be quite dry so a matte lipstick doesn't ALWAYS do me justice. This mini version is the universal GLOSS BOMB Lip luminizer. Despite the size, you still get a fair bit of product and I love how chunky the packaging and applicator is. If you didn't already know from the tonnes of reviews, this smells AMAZING - it smells like watermelons (which I'm obsessed with at the moment) and rihrih wasn't wrong when she said it makes your lips juicy cos girrrrrlll this is the juiciest of juicy lipglosses to bless my small lips. Team it with a bit of MAC whirl lip liner and you've got yourself a perfect combo.

The mini highlighter you get with the duo is one pan of Hu$tla Baby. At first I was quite gutted because I thought that it was perhaps a shade too dark for me but it is actually relatively universal (like Ofra Rodeo Drive). It applies to your skin like butter and is one of the very few highlighters that is actually long lasting. I've not stopped wearing it since I bought it because it is a beautiful peachy, champagne shade that gives you a perfect glow. I also love the size of the compact as it's highlighter that I tend to pop into my bag and take around with me, especially because it has a nifty mirror in it. After using it consistently, the imprint of the pan hasn't even disappeared - now thats when you know it's of good quality. You literally only need the smallest amount and I often apply after I've set my face with setting spray.

I also saw in Primark that they've recently released highlighters similar to the Fenty ones. Unfortunately, they only had 1 x shade left and I'm unsure if that's the only shade they sell so it's more silver/cool toned than my Fenty compact however the look of the product once applied is quite similiar. I wouldn't say it's an exact dupe as the texture of the Primark one is a bit more gristly and not as buttery as the Fenty one but for only £3 a compact, it's not bad at all! The shade I got was Arctic Ice and I think it's so pretty.

Overall, I'm really looking forward to Fentys new releases which is a new gloss bomb lipgloss and highlighter, both full sized of course. I really REALLY like both of the products and am keen to invest in more from this brand, including the foundation eventually when I can get colour matched! Have you tried much from Fenty and will you be investing in some of the new releases? Rihanna has smashed it really hasn't she! Thank you for reading and until next time,
Chelsea xo
