Now you may think 'oh, it wasn't that long ago that I had uploaded a blogpost based solely on this brand' - you are correct however they have kindly sent me over another package to trial and review for you which had their whole range of LED lip glosses and I couldn't not share my thoughts...that's the whole point of a blog isn't it?
So, the LED lip glosses from Proto-Col come in 9 different shades and you receive 9ml of product, they are usually valued at £9.95 but they are currently in sale for only £4 AND when you first visit the website (here), you can see a pop up that if you sign up to their newsletter you also receive an additional 5% off - which is such an amazing deal and makes the products to be deemed as 'drugstore affordable'.
The first thing that grabbed my attention about these glosses was the mirror and the LED light that each gloss came with so you can literally whip out your gloss anytime, anywhere. I think this is definitely a necessity because how annoying is it if you don't have a mirror or if you're in a dark room/club and you cba to go all the way to the toilets to check on your lips. The LED light is pretty bright too which is sooo handy!
As previously mentioned, there are nine different shades to choose from with one being a clear gloss. From top to bottom we have:
- Very Cherry
- Strawberry Crush
- Abigails Sparkle
- Pink Quartz
- Pretty in Pink
- Copper Kiss
- Candy Floss
- Coconut Ice
- Crystal Clear
The swatches doesn't really do them justice as it was hard to pick up the different colour reflects of glitter that were in some of them including Copper Kiss and Coconut Ice, as they have some sort of iridescent shine to them which are beautiful. In terms of the formula, they are NON STICKY which means that they are longer lasting. You know I'm a big gloss fan and I really love the formula of these. One downside to the glosses though would be the applicator as it's a very small brush and I prefer the doe foot as it's easier to apply, the small brushes that you get with these apply the gloss quite patchy so you do have to rub your lips together a bit for maximum pay off. Other than that though, I do really like these. The bottom four shades of the swatches above could also be great as a lip topper, on top of your fave matte lipsticks. I always find that this method is long lasting too but also a good way of creating different lip combos with products you already have.

As you can see with the pictures above, each gloss enhances your lips by making them appear so juicy. A lot of them are very wearable colours for me, I'm not normally one for bright pink or red gloss however Strawberry Crush had a really pretty shine to it with what seemed like pink/purple glitter reflects in it making it quite multi dimensional but my favourite shades must be Coppers Kiss which has a gold sheen to it and Pretty in Pink which looked like a dupe for the Fenty Glossbomb!
Overall, I'm really happy with this range and I'm so so grateful to be given the opportunity to trial and review them. I can't get over how cheap they are and I know that they are products I'm going to love wearing as I'm a BIG fan for glosses, especially non-stick and long lasting ones. Have you tried these before? If so, what are your thoughts on natural make up?
Thank you for reading,
