BeautyBay Going Out Out Palette Review

If you didn't already know, BeautyBay have recently launched their very own range, which currently includes eyeshadow palettes and brushes so far. I have seen quite a few reviews on how good the palettes are and the 'Going OutOut' caught my eye the most. For 42 eyeshadows, this palette retails for only TWENTY FIVE POUNDS, yep  just 25 golden nuggets right here - how insane is that?

Packaging
As you can see, this is quite a large palette but what do you expect for 42 eyeshadows! It's big and it is pretty sturdy which I didn't expect for such a cheap price tag. Inside you get a big mirror in the lid which is fab and then you always get a plastic sheet over the top of the shadows that basically summarises the formula and what you'd use them for - e.g. it highlights the 'base' shades and the eyeshadow toppers as well as the brights etc. This is amazing for people like me who aren't MUA's and are just starting out with make up, it's always good to have an insight to what shades go where.

Shades
So, this palette is predominantly made up of shimmer shadows with five duochrome eyeshadow toppers and four matte shades making it a one stop everything you need in just one palette. I find this very handy if you were to go away or if you're like me and simply doesn't like dipping in and out of so many palettes for just one look. The shades breakdown are:

Formula
Now the interesting bit...I want to start off with the mattes as there are only four of them. I can honestly say that they are AMAZING!! I really wasn't expecting for them to be so pigmented and they blend out so easy. Moving onto the shimmer shades, I wasn't as blown away as I was the mattes - unusual right as it's usually the other way round - but that was because I genuinely thought it was quite difficult to pick up pigment. I was watching a youtube video on the palette by Rachel Leary (that's where I got the inspo for the below look) and she looked like she was picking up the product on her brush so easily however it was like literally impossible for me to, even with some fix+. With your finger was a lot better, some shades better than others but when it did finally transfer from my finger to the lid, the shades look stunning. You do have to pack on some pigment if you are blending out though or you'll blend the colour away but they all seam together really nicely.

Feel the base, Pre Drinks, Glitterbomb, Bubbles, Free Shot, Byob & Hangover with a pop of Electric on the lower lash line - these were the shades that I used to create the above look
I'm excited to see what else BeautyBay brings to the table in terms of their own products but I know that they're killing it at the moment by the amount of hype around it all. Have you tried any of their products yet? I do want to pick up their Iconic brush set as well as some of the EYN palettes as they look hella pigmented.
Love Chelsea xo
